The “Celebrating Our People” series is aimed at highlighting the many talented employees that make up Proof of the Pudding’s teams across the southeast. We hope you enjoy learning more about our hospitality and culinary POPstars!

JULIE BREZINSKY
General Manager, Savanna Hall at Zoo Atlanta

POP:  Good morning Julie – thanks so much for sharing with us a little more about yourself today! First question, what is the one piece of advice you would share with others at the beginning of their hospitality/catering career?
JULIE:  Be YOU, do what you love and work hard.

POP:  What values would you say have shaped your life?
JULIE:  Honesty. Be genuine with your intentions. And lead by example.

POP:  What was your favorite meal as a kid growing up?
JULIE:  Chicken Parmesan.

POP:  Who in your life has influenced you the most?
JULIE:  My Mom. I have 3 sisters and we were all involved in extracurricular activities. My dad worked long hours so my Mom had to figure out how to get us everywhere. She did everything with a big smile and gave us non-stop encouragement/love in anything we did.
Also, multiple leaders at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (including Brian Lapinskas and Chuck Adams) when we first opened that venue. I saw a lot of craziness, but a lot of people held their composure and those are people I still call and talk with today. In our industry you can be thrown around in multiple directions and people can take you out of your character. It’s important to not let people do that and stay true to yourself. Being a leader, that is important for people following you to see!

POP:  What is your favorite song lyric or inspirational quote?
JULIE:  “People never forget how you made them feel.” Also, “Good things happen to good people.”

POP: What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
JULIE:  I have a fear of sharp objects!
