LAURA WIEDERICH
Golf Operations Coordinator
POP: Hi Laura – thanks so much for taking time to share about yourself. To start, what advice would you share with others at the beginning of their career?
LAURA: Listen more than you talk, and ALWAYS be yourself.
POP: What values have shaped your life?
LAURA: Understanding. This has been a value I have struggled with the most, and on many different levels. I personally feel that everything this world has to offer has to do with understanding one way or another. I am still growing and evolving everyday with the understanding that it is okay to not be perfect!
POP: What was your favorite meal as a kid growing up?
LAURA: My mom had a great spin on Hamburger Helper. We would have it over white rice topped with crunchy chow mein noodles. I would always put Worcestershire sauce on top and get gross looks from the rest of the family. But once again, you should ALWAYS be yourself ?.
POP: Who has influenced you the most in life?
LAURA: Before even starting in this industry, my mom had always told me, “It does not matter what you do as long as you are happy doing it.” I thought about that a lot in the beginning and now it’s not even a passing thought. I love what I do and that makes me happy every single day.
After beginning my career on the road doing golf events, Jenna Hansen has been a bigger influence on me than I think she realizes, or even cares to admit. The commitment she has to her work, and her work ethic in general, is something I will always strive to achieve. I have, and always will, admire her efficiency while plating up donuts and muffins for Caddies and Media at 3:30am.
POP: What is your favorite inspirational quote or lyric?
LAURA: “You might not have a car or a big gold chain, but stay true to yourself and things will change.” -Snoop Dogg
POP: What’s something that people would be surprised to learn about you?
LAURA: My two front teeth are fake!
