MARGUERITE WOLFORD
Catering Sales Manager at the
Georgia International Horse Park

POP:  Hi Marguerite, thanks for chatting today and being our last POPstar spotlight of 2020! To start, what advice would you share with others at the beginning of their career?
MARGUERITE:  Be willing to learn something new.

POP:  What values have shaped your life?
MARGUERITE:  Having a sense of humor and a little bit of optimism, especially when things haven’t going according to plan. And honesty is the best policy even when you mess up.

POP:  What was your favorite meal as a kid growing up?
MARGUERITE:  My Grandmother’s Pot Pie. Still to this day, my #1 comfort food.

POP:  Who has influenced you the most (in life and/or your career)?
MARGUERITE:  My Grandmother. She has taught me a lot about life skills and enjoying the little things. She also does not believe in sugar coating anything – you are getting a pretty straight answer whether you like it or not.

POP:  What is your favorite song lyric or inspirational quote?
MARGUERITE:  Sometimes you have to give yourself pep talks like “Hello, you’re a badass woman. Don’t be sad. You got this and I love you.” – Anonymous

POP:  What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you?
MARGUERITE:  I worked on TV/movie sets for 4 years while in college.
